I no longer have access to this painting or I would photograph it again. Unlike this photo, it is luminous.
I include this still life because it was in a gallery and although it sold on opening night as soon as the door opened. The gallery manager told me that she could have sold it several times that evening as three more people wanted to purchase it - first time that ever happened!
Maybe I ought to paint more pears...
This painting won the "People's Choice Award" at the 1997 Regional Juror's Choice Competition at the Thorne-Sagendrf Art Gallery at Keene State College in Keene, NH.
